Woke. Awakening. The word was created by the American Left 25 years ago. At first it meant awakening to racism. Then it expanded to “awakening” to any “prejudice ”. It spread with impressive speed to the academic community of the major universities in America and passed to Europe, which welcomed it as if it had been ready for a long time. In our country it remains marginal, the privilege of certain publicists who try to exist through the adoption of its principles. Given the time delay, it is normal. Let them wait a little longer for it to subside so that they can take up its defense. As I read in the Economist, the movement shows signs of retreat. This ideology reached its peak around 2020 and has been declining since then. But since it is an ideological movement, it is interesting to see what its basic principles are. Since it is not organized, I will try to record them. Gender is not a natural fact, but a historical construction. How do I understand this? Some, at one time in history, decided that not only should there be two sexes, but that the stronger one is the male. Is it in the nature of the male to be the stronger? We do not mean that. And what do you mean? We mean that he managed to impose the idea that he is the stronger. And how did he manage to do it if he could not do it? But he had the power on his side. Let the spiritual dwarves of the woke realize that this is how they are putting the distinctions of nature into their reasoning, which a little while ago had rejected them.

Woke – Queer. Being “queer” means that I do not accept the binary system with which the human mind has perceived reality for centuries of civilization . In general, I do not accept the distinction of male/female, white/black, carnivore/herbivorous. All of this has been born of the power of language. It is as if language was born from the design of a human brain, which invented ways to manipulate all its opponents, women, blacks, homosexuals, vegetarians.

" Queers for Palestine ." The slogan alone highlights the intellectual nonsense of woke ideology.

Men are rapists. Rape is not an impulse that characterizes certain criminals. It is a common characteristic of the male gender. And here we touch the core of woke ideology. The destruction of the man-woman relationship, that is, male-female, that is, natural reproduction. For the woke, even natural reproduction is a historical phenomenon . So it can be replaced by test tubes. And then we wonder why Western societies face the threat of demographic cachexia.

The last thought is the natural consequence of the woke ideology, an ideology that is directed against Western civilization. It is an assumption that has its roots in May '68 and in the thought that the historical uprising produced. They wanted to deforest our societies of the values ​​that held them together . But they had no values ​​to replace them. As a result, today Western societies depend on the outcome of the war between the forces that wish to maintain their cohesion, with all their flaws, and on their transformation into a ragtag group of minorities that claim and impose their rights on the whole.

All these thoughts were born from reading the work " The Philosophy of Woke ". It was published by Alternative Publications and includes essays on the subject edited by G. Karambelias . Because woke is an expression that returns to our vocabulary, it is worth reading to understand its real meaning. Above all, to understand how we got here starting from the French philosophers of '68, Derrida, Deleuze, Foucault. They have admirers among us. I wonder how many of them understand the thread that connects them to the ideology of woke. Let them read the essays in the book and they will understand.
